I was born in 1957, in Quebec city, Canada. I speak French as well as English. I got in Scientology in 1975 and have been active since. I married a Scientologist who has the same purposes in life that I do which made a great marriage. We have two wonderful daughters. I deal in Real Estate, buying foreclosure houses and remodeling them and buying apartment buildings. My wife home schools the children. They are doing extremely well.

We live in Clearwater Florida, near the top Scientology organization in the world. I like many things, such as travelling, scuba diving, above all, I like adventure. And Scientology has been the best adventure of all.

I was 18 years old when I found out about Scientology. Before that, I was pretty much lost. I did not know what to do with my life, I was almost depressed, already at 18 years old. I had been researching who I was, what was the purpose of life, why are we here, and such questions that everyone asks at one point or other in one's life. I had been reading all sorts of books on religions, zen, meditation, psychology and the like. But none of those books gave me any answer which satisfied me. At one point, it seems that if I wanted to better myself spiritually, I would have to move to India and live on top of a mountain for 30 years hoping to find one answer to life. This did not appeal to me.

Then one day I got stopped in the street by a Scientologist who asked me if I had ever heard of it. I said no and decided to buy the book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health. It took me only 3 days to read the book so intense was my interest in it. Then I immediately went to the organization of Scientology nearby and took my first

Hello, my name is Marc Vallieres,

and here is a little bit about myself:

Marc Vallieres, Scientologist,

course. I found many answers to the questions I had had all my life. At the end of the course I had to take someone in a session and apply the principles I had learned in my book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health. I was nervous but fascinated at the same time. I was about to experience what I had learned. It worked very well. The person I was helping came out of the session with a big smile. I realized at that point that I had just helped a being to improve himself in a way that no one ever been able to do before. It gave me such a joy that I wanted to do more. Helping others to have a better life is such a great adventure. And here I am, 23 years later. I did not stop using Scientology to help others, and I have seen many many more smiling faces, depressed people becoming happy again, drug addicts recovering completely, broken marriages being put back together, upset teenagers finding out a purpose in life. If you have ever helped someone, really helped someone, you will know the feeling I have whenever I use Scientology to really help someone.

Life without Scientology would have been boring and depressing for me. I probably would have ended up like some kind of robot: getting up, going to work, paying the rent and drinking on the weekend to have some semblance of low level happiness. And I would have pretended that everything is fine and that life is what it is. And I would have been eager to reach retirement so that I could finally do all that I want to do. I am doing all I want to do and I have done a lot more than I thought was possible to do in life.

Life is a fantastic adventure. If you do not think so, then go to a Scientology organization and discover the true meaning of life.

      See you there,  Marc Vallieres

If it walks like Scientologist, talks like a Scientologist, then it’s probably a Scientologist,! Back to Original Story
