The
Cannon County Sheriff's Department is responsible for law enforcement activities
in all of Cannon County except the town of Woodbury.
This includes uniform patrol enforcing laws, investigating
crime, responding to emergencies of all types,
training, and public education to save lives and protect property.
The sheriff operates the Cannon County 9-1-1 center and dispatches all
emergency calls for all jurisdictions in the county and Woodbury.
The Cannon County
Sheriff's Department is also responsible for maintaining the County
Jail and prisoners incarcerated by Court order.
The
elected Cannon County Sheriff is Kenny Wetzel. The Sheriff's
Departmental offices and the county jail are located
on Alexander Drive.
