The
Cannon County Board Of Education operates one High School
(9-12), six Grammar Schools (K-8), and one alternative school.
All seven of the Cannon
County Schools are connected to the "Ten-Connect" computer
system, and thus also can access the Internet Computer System.
Currently the average total enrollment in the Cannon County School
System is a little over 2000 students, and employees approximately
230 persons throughout the system. The school district is the
largest employer in the county.
The
Cannon County Board Of Education is composed of five members. The
Chairman of the Board Of Education is chosen from the members of the
Board during the annual reorganization meeting each year. The Board
meets once each month for their normal regular meeting. The Board
normally meets at 6:00 PM. the 2nd Thursday of each months at the
Board Of Education Offices in Woodbury.
